The Copywriter will be part of the creative team which helps develop compelling campaign strategies and materials for all agency direct mail, digital, video, social media, and broadcast materials for all agency client groups. The primary focus of this position is to deliver excellent writing to support the campaigns and missions of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with Creative Directors, Account Directors and account team to develop campaign strategies and set direction.
• Participate in concept development and refinement.
• Present concepts to Creative Director for approval
• Work with Creative Directors and Account Directors to develop themes, copy content and layout
• Perform all writing duties: interviews, first drafts, directional edits
• Participate in copy and layout review with clients and account teams
• Monitor time to stay within budgeted hours
• Instilling diversity, equity and belonging principals to ensure a respectful, accepted and valued treatment of all

Reports to VP, Group Creative Director

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Agency experience
• advertising, communications or marketing preferred
• previous oversight of other writers a plus
• digital/social experience and expertise
• BA in English, Journalism, Advertising or Creative Writing. Or make a compelling argument for why your Architecture degree makes sense for this role.
• Excellent creative writing capabilities as demonstrated in submitted samples
• Awareness and understanding of social, web, digital and video storytelling
• Broadcast experience is a plus
• Computer and basic Office software literacy
• Prefer some history of non-profit organizational experience
