Corporate Accountant
ROLE OVERVIEW
Tribute seeks a Corporate Accountant at our Corporate headquarters in Wilmington, NC. With over 30 years of experience, Tribute Companies is a leader in the Real Estate Development industry. Essential Functions
- Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets and operating statements.
- Maintains the general ledger, reconciles general ledger accounts, and prepares monthly general ledger reporting.
- Assists with bank activity, including positive pay, posting transactions and monthly account reconciliations.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Assists with filing required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Prepares quarterly financial reporting as required by lenders.
- As appropriate, coordinates with IT to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Conducts internal financial audits; participates in audit process with external auditors.
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in accounting, business administration, or other curriculum that would provide a core curriculum in financial management coursework and three to five years of accounting experience required; or a combination of equivalent combination of education and experience.
