This Corporate In-House Paralegal position will expose a qualified candidate to a full range of opportunities within the healthcare landscape. The successful candidate will be ready to navigate a growth-oriented, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment. This person must be comfortable juggling multiple tasks under tight deadlines and must be a strong writer and communicator at senior levels of the organization.

The responsibilities associated with this position will include but are not limited to:

• Providing operational support to legal counsel by reviewing, drafting and revising legal documents, conducting research, and monitoring and tracking legislative/legal developments in assigned area.
• Drafting legal documents, formal discovery requests, notices, interrogatories, and motions.
• Assisting with management of corporate transactions, and case management which shall also include working with outside counsel, devising successful litigation strategies, compiling discovery responses, and reviewing all pleadings.
• Partnering with the General Counsel to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop corrective action plans for resolution of any identified issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Advise management as to changes in applicable laws and regulations, and the effect of those changes on company practices.
• Developing and maintaining a filing system for all legal documents.

Requirements

• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong experience drafting transactional documents, and conducting research,
• Bachelor or Associate degree in a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in-house or at a large law firm as a corporate paralegal
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
