JOB SUMMARY:

The Corporate Senior Accountant reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller. The Corporate Senior Accountant should be detail oriented as they will prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of consolidated financial reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare monthly corporate journal entries.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
  • Review corporate credit card reconciliation. Upload monthly credit card activity into general ledger.
  • Assist the Assistant Controller with preparing and consolidating corporate financial statements.
  • Maintain and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
  • Prepare daily bank and monthly cash reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  • Assist corporate department managers and supervisors with interpreting accounts, records and reports as requested.
  • Participate or lead process improvement projects.
  • ERP and accounting system implementation.
  • Provide necessary inputs for daily/weekly cash forecasts.
  • Assist with 401(k) external audit and 5500 financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
  • The listed items may not be the only duties performed in this position - there will be other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Public Accounting experience, preferred
  • Extensive knowledge in computer systems including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic scheduling and e-mail, and financial planning software
  • Able to deal professionally, courteously, and tactfully with the public and coworkers
  • Valid Driver’s License for business travel
  • Ability to pass a drug, physical, and background check

SALARY

  • Range starting at $75,000 per year
  • Depends on Experience and Education

Physical Requirements:
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
