Do you enjoy caring for others? We need you at a group home for 6 adults who have a diagnosis of intellectual/developmental disabilities. Provide support and care in the home.

This person supports adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and medical needs in their home through providing physical assistance, supervision, training and medical support services.

• Work cooperatively as a member of a staff team.
• Provide a safe, homelike, nurturing environment for each resident.
• Provide direct physical assistance, supervision, training and support needed by for those in the home for completion of activities of daily living (e.g. toileting, eating, personal hygiene, etc.).
• Assist residents with taking prescribed medications.
• Reposition residents during shift and implement individual health care plans.
• Provide transportation for residents as needed, following all rules for safe operation and care of agency vehicles.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork.
• Communicate with respect and tact as a professional with coworkers, and others.
• Participate in planning and implementing activities with the program participants.
• Participate in cleaning and maintaining the home and surrounding environment, involving residents when appropriate. These tasks may include, but are not limited to vacuuming, laundry, dishes, meal preparation from a menu, organizing drawers and closets, cleaning ovens, washing windows, etc.
• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory training and other meetings scheduled at the request of the Program Director.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED or C.N.A. with previous successful work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English Language for required paperwork, testing and professional communications.
• Valid Colorado Drivers License and proof of insurance and the ability to drive a 10-passenger van with wheelchair lift.
• Satisfactory CBI records check.

Available Shift:

Saturday 8a-12p and Sunday 8a-4p
