Position: Varsity/MS Boys/Girls Cross Country Coach
Performance Responsibilities:
- Operate the cross country program within the philosophy of the school, athletic department and MHSAA
- Responsible for the development of the varsity program and the middle school programs.
- Demonstrate good communication skills with players, parents, administration, media, and student body.
- Have thorough, well organized practice plans.
- Work with other coaches in regards to off season workouts.
- Responsible for all squad members from reporting time until departure from school grounds.
- Follow all guidelines and policies set forth by the school.
Reports To:
Athletic Director and the High School Principal
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- The preferred candidate has high school varsity coaching experience.
- The preferred candidate will have strong character and have the ability to build relationships with players and parents.
- The preferred candidate will be able to collaborate with other sports and coaches.
- The preferred candidate will be available to start immediately following Board approval.
- The preferred candidate must have a willingness to develop a successful high school program and feeder system.
- The preferred candidate will be able to conduct practices right after school, 3:15.
