A rapidly growing transportation and warehouse company located in Brownstown, MI has an immediate opening for a hard-working inbound customer service representative.
This is an entry-level position in the Transportation Industry.
Our organization offers a positive team oriented environment where you will learn our business from the ground up. You must be confident in your abilities to handle a fast paced environment that involves dealing with US customer paperwork, frequent communication with international customers along with the clearing of customs. You will be responsible for tracking freight and relaying that information to our customers; from the initial pick up until the final delivery and everywhere in between. You will work with our customers on a daily basis solving problems, communicating freight statuses, implementing new business and provide them with total customer satisfaction. You will also work closely with the dispatchers and operations staff and assist them as needed in their duties.
We are looking for someone who:
- has previous customer service and/or sales experience
- has effective communication skills: on the phone, emails and in person
- has experience in computer input during calls
- has strong organizational skills -- many tasks for many individual jobs
- has excellent customer service skills in an office setting
- is well-spoken, a problem solver and can demonstrate good judgment
- has good phone etiquette and excellent listening skills
- has a friendly demeanor and positive attitude providing our customers a first-class experience
- has the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced professional setting
- has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- has computer proficiency including typing, MS Outlook, Excel and Word,
- knowledge of the TMW system is beneficial but not required
This is a full-time position with some weekend hours.
Hours for the shift are 2pm - 10pm, Monday through Friday.
Competitive wages based on experience. There is an excellent opportunity for growth and additional pay based on experience.
