Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada is looking for a customer service professional to serve as the first point of contact for the Reno Girl Scout Shop. This position will handle all aspects of inventory, ordering and merchandising as well as providing great customer service to our Girl Scout members.

The Customer Care Specialist greets and assists all visitors to the Reno/Sparks council offices. The position will provide high quality customer service to all customers including girl members, community partners, volunteers, and staff. Responsibilities include cash handling, selling merchandise, monitoring inventory, and placing orders.

This position is part-time with 20-25 hours per week. Schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday, hours varied. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Answers incoming calls/requests; manages and responds appropriately to all inquiries including but not limited to email, phone and walk-in customers; takes time to answer questions. Maintain sales floor and storeroom in a neat and organized manner to easily access merchandise. Develops sufficient understanding of the Girl Scout program, curriculum, uniform components, and other products to help customers find and understand what they need.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of customer service and cash handling experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must be resourceful, self-motivated, creative, and flexible
• Must work independently with little supervision
• Knowledge of basic accounting and inventory principles helpful
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale computer software helpful
• Individual should also have knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
• Must successfully complete a criminal and credit background check
