Overview:
Applicants should have related experience providing technical and order entry assistance to customers in the automotive, appliance, wood cabinet, agriculture / construction equipment and/or general manufacturing industries as well as providing similar technical and administrative (i.e., quotations & follow-up) support to outside sales representatives.
Responsibilities:

  • Support distribution customer base by responding to telephone and email inquiries with technical guidance on products, spare parts, deliveries, pricing, etc. Communicate product enhancements and new products as appropriate.
  • Accept and enter customer orders into the computer. Promote "specials" and "add-on" sales when possible.
  • Support the efforts of Outside Sales Representatives in maintaining and expanding distribution sales volume with customer communication, equipment / spare parts quotations and follow-up.
  • Place emergency purchase orders when necessary to satisfy customer delivery requirements.
  • Serve as a customer advocate by communicating with vendors, purchasing and shipping personnel to expedite customer sales orders.
  • Support Stockroom & Service departments as necessary.
  • Complete necessary reports and paperwork on a timely basis and assist in collecting delinquent accounts when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, College Preferred.
  • Related Customer Service experience and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (order entry, inquiry, purchasing, internet sourcing, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook).
  • Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn products and associated spare parts.
  • Familiarity with AIC's product lines - such as Ransburg, Gema, Graco, DeVilbiss, Binks and ARO finishing equipment is preferred.
