General

Dispatch - Primary Responsibilities
- Support drivers on customer deliveries and service calls by directing and/or rerouting them as needed.
- Communicate between customers and drivers to ensure safe and accurate deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
- Call customers to ensure access on rain and snow days as needed to improve driver efficiency.
- Route drivers as efficiently as possible for deliveries and service calls.
- Have an understanding of the skill level of each driver to help ensure that drivers are not sent to customer sites that exceed their ability to service.
- Provide customer service and redirect incoming customer calls.
- Assist sales team by informing them when deliveries and/or service schedule is full for the current or following day.
- Answer and interact with customers in a friendly and informative manner.
Customer Service - Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with answering and directing incoming phone calls.
- Take new delivery orders both on the phone and in person at the office.
- Create customer work orders.
- Complete service delivery sheets with required information as needed.
- Process residential customer deposits for open-top and storage containers.
- Process payments for deliveries.
- Prepare delivery sheets for dispatch and drivers.
- Update the mulch, gravel and dirt delivery schedule as needed.
- Provide amazing customer service to both our customers and drivers.
- Assist with sales related administrative tasks as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

- Troy, VA 22974: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

- Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
