The License Permit Technician (LPT) within the Driver Services Bureau (DSB) will perform administrative and clerical duties such as, customer service; data entry, implementing suspensions, revocations, cancellations, and reinstatements, mail room duties; managing electronic and other documents and files.

The ideal candidate will respond to phone calls as well as written and in-person inquiries from drivers, courts, lawyers, law enforcement agencies, and the general public. Responses are based upon customer inquiries about driver laws, administrative rules, and policies and procedures.

The most successful candidate enjoys public service and offers courteous and professional communication.

This is a temporary, modified position that will provide daily operational support to the Motor Vehicle Division as they implement new software. The anticipated end date for this position is July 2024. This position could be an opportunity to gain optimal skills in a state position with great benefits!

EXPECTATIONS:
High School Graduation or equivalent (GED)
One year of clerical office experience using computer data systems to perform a variety of word processing, database, and other business software transactions, and provide courteous customer service.
Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
