We are looking for a qualified Cybersecurity Specialist located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Position Description:

The employee supports the cybersecurity accreditation efforts of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Virginia Beach Detachment, in their Dam Neck Annex facility. Performs Assessment and Authorization (A&A) in accordance with Risk Management Frame (RMF) NIST 800-53r4 Security and Privacy Controls and various other cybersecurity duties.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform Assessment and Authorization (A&A) in accordance with Risk Management Frame (RMF) NIST 800-53r4 Security and Privacy Controls.
• Create required RMF artifacts to obtain system authorization.
• Document raw findings, populate Security Assessment Reports (SAR)/Perform Risk Assessment Report (RAR), and create detailed POA&M for Mitigation of findings.
• Work in a shipboard environment when needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Network topologies and be able to create detailed network drawings
• Microsoft VISIO and/or Auto CAD programs
• The NAVSEA 9400-2M Instruction
• Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-53r4 Security and Privacy Controls
• eMASS, DADMS, DITPR-DON, PPSM, and VRAM databases
• DISA ACAS and SCAP scanning tools
• Perform Manual Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) reviews, recording detailed test results.
• Understand how to use Evaluate-Stig for supported STIG checklists on Windows and RHEL systems.
• Document raw findings, populate Security Assessment Reports (SAR)/Perform Risk Analysts (RAR), and create detailed POA&M for Mitigation of findings.
• Understand how to use eMASS.
• VxWorks real-time, Linux/Unix-based, and Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Configuring and managing network switch technologies
• High-quality interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
• Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Systems Software/Hardware integration background desired.
• Certificates in CISSP, CASP+, Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) training, DISA ACAS (Tenable Network Security) 5.14 certificate, CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Linux+
