Definitive Logic is looking for a motivated data engineer to join our team supporting Federal Agencies in the management of technology-enabled, real property asset management and installation management systems. We are looking for professionals who are excited about developing risk-based resource and investment decision frameworks and solutions that will solve difficult facility, built infrastructure, and real property / real estate problems. Work will require working in teams to solve large, complex problems to achieve interdependent objectives.
The position will be full-time and is part of professional consulting team supporting digital transformation of large and complex customer asset management systems. The position provides highly rewarding work environment with numerous training and professional growth opportunities.
Location: Hybrid (Onsite in Arlington Location and Remote (within DC Metro area)
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Collaborates with stakeholders in order to develop solutions to analytical problems and potential problems.- Works with senior team members to understand, document, and prioritize data and BI/analytics requirements
- Configures analytics tools, develops the semantic layer and metadata, and creates reports and report definitions
- Implements QA programs for data deliverables
- Creates test criteria and datasets for data deliverables
- Tests reports using various databases, analyses, programs, and scripts
- Troubleshoots bugs/issues with existing BI solutions
- Modifies existing analytic solutions, BI reports and dashboards
- Documents standards, policies, and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of reports and dashboards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Critical thinker with analytical skills who is comfortable supporting collaborative problem solving in a team environment
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics (analyzing data quality, health, standardization)
- Experience manipulating/importing/merging multiple data sets including database, excel, flat files, csv
- 3+ years of experience with SQL programming
- Data modeling experience supporting Business Intelligence: Building database views to support BI requirements
- 1+ years of experience with BI tools/technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense
- Experience with Data Quality Services (DQS) or similar
- Experience working on datasets involving facilities, built infrastructure, physical assets, and real property or real estate portfolios
- Certifications or experience in project management, facility management, asset management, software development, or business management
