Job Description

ion Software Group is seeking a highly motivated Data and Integration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is curious, a passionate problem-solver, teachable, and is reliably able to prioritize tasks without supervision.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and maintain connections between customer data systems (Student Information Systems, Assessment Platforms, etc) and ion's data warehouse
  • Follow procedures to ensure the quality, completeness, security, privacy, and integrity of data throughout the data lifecycle
  • Support all processes to transform, consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data
  • Provide technical support in development and execution of data extraction, transformation, and load activities
  • Provide technical support to end users and team members as needed
  • Develop a level of subject matter expertise with each new data asset being loaded
  • Write and maintain documentation of the data integration processes
  • Acquire knowledge and training in data integration techniques, tools and services to meet demands of the unit
  • Communicate with team members to gather accurate specifications for new enhancements and applications
  • Collaborate with team members on projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proven (3+ years full-time professional) experience developing and maintaining database systems, including MSSQL, PostGre, Oracle, Mongo, etc
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and Data Structures
  • Experience using Excel and MS Code to manipulate CSV and Text data files
  • Understanding of SFTP, API and other data transfer protocols
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus Points

  • Understanding of K-12 education data including assessment, intervention, program evaluation and instruction
  • Experience working in a small business

Job Type

  • Position is located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. US Candidates only. Local candidates preferred (Southeast Wisconsin, Northeast Illinois).
  • Full Time - No Contract or Contract to Hire.
  • Pay Range: $70,000+ - Depending on experience and qualifications
