Pricing Analyst
Salary $41,600
Job Description:
This position is accountable for supporting the development and analysis of the general price increase and long range price plans. In addition, the pricing analyst will develop pricing models, monitor price gaps, evaluate pricing initiatives and provide an advanced level of pricing analytics. The position’s role includes managing the ongoing integrity of the pricing data and functionality of pricing models. The position works closely with other departments communicating price actions, reporting impact and recommending potential pricing initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Every Wednesday check VIP for MillerCoors price promotion rebates. Run the Encompass reports and verify that the VIP sales & rebates match the numbers from the Encompass reports & approve. Dispute any discrepancies & work to resolve the issue(s).
- Create new customer records & maintain customer database & corresponding promotion zones.
- Create new product records & maintain product database.
- Maintain supplier, brand, brand family & zones databases.
- Update & maintain product cost plans.
- Reconcile monthly supplier price promotions via VIP PPM and/or invoiced bill backs.
- Weekly, deactivate expired promotions in Encompass.
- Implement price changes & work with Pricing Manager to set new pricing structure. Prepare current/new margin spreadsheets, price change letters for on/off premise, update price letters and promo schedules. Distribute change letters to Account Managers, Chain Managers, and Supervisors. Complete and submit price contracts to each chain account on their respective forms as set forth by their requirements. Update FL prices, expected costs (product cost plans), discounts & product record according to effective dates.
- Acquire all necessary information needed to prepare county & channel specific price letters. Upon completion distribute to the sales dept.
- Set up new items in Encompass and all corresponding discounts in Encompass if applicable. Submit to chains on each of their NIFs as set forth by their requirements.
- Input price changes, discount revisions, and new promotions into Encompass as set forth by suppliers/supervisors. Prepare change notices and distribute to the sales dept and submit all changes to each chain account on their respective forms or websites.
- Review all chain price books & pricing files & issue changes if necessary upon receipt of them.
- Answer/reply to all pricing and new item-related inquires from suppliers, customers and within the company itself.
- Maintain current price lists and promotion schedules for all counties (Texas & Oklahoma) and update as needed when frontlines or promotions change or when new items are added to our portfolio.
- Monthly, execute the Retail Promotion Notices on Anheuser-Busch BudNet website. Submit responses to all new promotions and revisions to previously submitted promotions.
- Monthly, and as needed, review non-alc pricing planners and update/adjust in Encompass as needed.
- Monthly, run reports, create invoices and submit all price promotion billbacks to suppliers on their respective forms or websites as set forth by each of their requirements. Upon payment of reimbursements, review/verify all payment amounts received.
- Attend company meetings as requested.
- Maintain open and clear communications with the managers and other employees of the company.

Qualifications:
- Education – High School graduate or GED.
- 1 year experience in an analytical position.
- Experience with data mining and econometric modeling.
- Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
- Must be able to use advanced computer skills to create and manipulate analytical tools.
- Ability to navigate and implement systems necessary to collect, to maintain and analyze data.
- Ability to compile and analyze data & use critical thinking.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & with tight deadlines & to prioritize accordingly. Must be a proactive self-starter and self-learner.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a team player with the ability to work with a variety of people at all levels.
- MS Office environment experience required, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) with emphasis on advanced Excel knowledge.
- Must be able to accurately operate software applications associated with the data analysis.
- Requires a skilled communicator who can effectively communicate with all levels of employees & supplier partners.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work and make decisions independently with little oversight & minimal supervision.
- Requires excellent phone etiquette.
- Requires analytical thinking and attention to detail to maintain precise standards.
- Must be highly organized and able to keep accurate & updated records.
