ABOUT THE FLOCK
The data sciences team is instrumental in developing and executing analyses to drive translational research efforts. We apply cutting-edge analytical methods to solve complex biomedical questions and deliver actionable insights and testable hypotheses. We identify emergent trends from translational analyses of exploratory, clinical, and manufacturing data and visualize and distill data to explain key findings to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. We collaborate with research scientists to design experiments and characterize novel gene therapies using multi-omics approaches such as RNA-seq. The data science team has the opportunity to impact external publications and contribute to several phases of gene therapy product development, including supporting regulatory BLA filings.
HOW YOU'LL FLY
You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Planning, executing, and presenting analyses to internal and collaborating groups
- Working closely with clinicians, research, and process development scientists to analyze complex data types for modeling analyses
- Planning and analyzing bulk and single cell NGS experiments to better understand complex products
- Performing translational analyses to identify key biomarkers of clinical efficacy and manufacturing performance
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
You're the bird we're looking for if you have:
- PhD in computational or analytical biological field, 2+ years of experience post-PhD *OR* MS in computational/analytical biological field, 5+ years of experience post-MS *OR* BS in computational/analytical biological field, 7+ years of experience post-BS
- Strong expertise in R or Python
- Experience with common NGS analysis workflows
- Knowledge of core concepts in data analysis and applied statistics – model testing, regression, classification, and clustering methods
