Description: The DE Shipper/Packer is responsible for processing and preparing orders for shipment and for receiving incoming shipments from vendors for production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for auditing garments to ensure quality is up to standard and inspect and verify all documents for incoming shipments before receiving and releasing to the appropriate party.
• Responsible for filing appropriate documentation on the incoming products.
• Responsible for verifying orders according to packing slips before packing. Pack orders that are to ship daily to vendors and customers and consolidate the shipment if there are several or more orders for the same customer and properly seal and secure shipping box with all the required documents.
• Responsible for cleanliness and set up of the DE shipping/receiving area and other areas of the plant as directed.
• Responsible for prioritizing work by ship time (i.e., FedEx RED needs to be in shipping by

4:30pm) and take all orders to the UPS or Fed Ex station for shipment.

• Participates in continuous improvement processes to make department more efficient and will makes recommendations to improve flow and timely shipment of orders.
• Performs duties in compliance with Federal, state and local laws and regulations and adheres to all Penn Emblem policies and safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as required by business needs and as assigned by Department Manager,

Operations Manager and Plant Manager.

Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma required.

Experience: 1-2 years shipping experience or related experience preferred in a manufacturing or production position.

Company Related Worked in manufacturing in the personal identification or related
Knowledge manufacturing area.

Functional Prefer knowledge of shipping with UPS/FEDEX online software.
Knowledge: Experience with safety issues in operations.

• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Work requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, occasionally bend, ability to stand for the majority of their shift and lift boxes with and without assistance.
