Delivery Driver

A metal fabricator in Cowpens is looking for a Delivery Driver with a customer focused mindset. Box truck experience is a must. You will be a representative of our business and our reputation is vital to our success.

Responsibilities for the position include:

• Maintain day to day delivery activities by evaluating the shop schedule in efforts to plan out daily trips in an organized and efficient method, proactive planning is required to eliminate duplicate trips or wasted time and mileage.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all AS and ISO standards and procedures that are directly influenced by the delivery operations. ( ex. Packing slips must be signed and dated in the appropriate areas for Pack Ship, Customer Signed Copies must be returned. )
• Maintain all aspects of our companies 5-S policies by working in and organizing the shipping and receiving areas along with trucks being maintained clean and organized, daily in efforts to eliminate the waste of production time including performing the required Preventive Maintenance on Equipment as specified in our PM program, PM Sheets must be turned in weekly for review. (Truck Inspections)
• Strive to look for and identify ways to streamline workflow in your work area, suggestions for improvements are not only welcome, they are expected.
• Some material handling responsibilities may be required.

The ability to obtain a 2 year DOT medical card and pass a drug screen are requirements for the position.

The ideal candidate will be reliable and customer focused.

Hours: M-F 7-3:30.

$15- $17 DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
