The Delphi Police Department is now accepting applications to fill an expected opening for Patrolman.

All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and not older than 40 years of age at the time appointment.

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid driver’s license, must have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence, and must be a United Sates Citizen. ILEA Tier 1 certified applicants are preferred.

Applicants shall be subject to written and physical ability testing, thorough background, polygraph, and psychological testing.

2023 starting pay for Probationary Patrolman starts at $54,949.44.

Patrolman pay is (after 1 year) $54,949.44-$56,172.48.

First class officer pay is $58,334.64-$60,758.88.
