Chemours is seeking a Demand Analyst to join our growing commercial team! This position will report directly to the North America Demand Manager.
The Demand Analyst is a highly visible and key role in North America for the Thermal and Specialized Solutions (TSS) business of Chemours. This role leads the demand step of the Chemours Integrated Business Managing process, which both enables Supply Chain to plan and execute against customer needs and provides a financial outlook to the business. As part of the demand step, the Demand Analyst works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to analyze demand trends, challenge assumptions, develop an unconstrained forecast, and identify key risks & opportunities. Subsequently, the Demand Analyst works closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure the unconstrained forecast is within the organization’s capability to meet customer needs and makes and executes allotment decisions when supply constraints are identified.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Primary owner for the development of the regional TSS volume and revenue demand plans through communication and shared responsibility with sales and marketing
  • Analyze multiple views of potential demand from Marketing and Sales, challenge input based on demand trends, and capture supporting assumptions and risks/opportunities
  • Facilitate monthly multi-view unconstrained demand consensus process for the CIBM (Chemours Integrated Business Management) planning horizon. Align and ensure agreement on consensus plans within the region.
  • Continuously communicate and process all relevant demand information into actionable plans at the appropriate level for the intended audience (e.g. family level plans for Finance/S&OP and mix level plans for Supply)
  • Lead monthly NA Demand Review Meeting including preparation of PowerPoint deck for review in the meeting
  • In collaboration with the Regional Product Manager and Regional Demand Manager, manage allotment strategy for abnormal demand, supply issues (including constrained supply), and customer requirements that are outside the capability of the supply chain to deliver
  • Perform root cause analyses to improve aggregate and mix forecast accuracy and ensure bias elimination
  • Drive data governance through requests to create, modify, and remove forecast items from OMP planning tool based on business and customer needs
  • Lead demand process improvements for area of responsibility under the direction of the Regional and Global Demand Managers
  • Track demand execution through analysis of orders vs. plan, identify sources of deviation, and collaborate with the Sales team to identify actions to close gaps
The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science-related field
  • 2+ years' of experience in Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing Operations, Analytical, Technical or related role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a cross functional setting
  • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and formulas) and PowerPoint
The following is preferred for this role:
  • Experience with BW and ERP forecasting tools such as OMP or APO
  • Prior experience or understanding of the Chemours Integrated Business Management (CIBM) or other Manufacturing Planning and Control processes
  • Experience with analytics visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
