We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join our MOBILE Dental Clinic team to provide high-quality services to the precious students we serve. This is not your typical dental hygiene position!

Children’s Volunteer Health Network is a 501(c)3 faith-based non-profit that has been expanding our reach in Okaloosa and Walton counties for 18 years! In a health-access setting, we provide comprehensive preventative dental care to deserving children in Walton and Okaloosa County schools. We’re seeking a compassionate Dental Hygienist with a heart for helping children to be a valued member of our Mobile Dental Team. Schedule

· Mobile Clinic schedule follows Walton + Okaloosa County school schedules Monday – Friday during the school year

· Shifts are typically (8) hours with (6) hours of patient care

· June + July schedule varies but will include patient services to community partner organizations, administrative, operational work

· As CVHN is a 501c3 non-profit organization, our team shares in the support of 6-8 fundraising events per year

Responsibilities

· Follow HIPPA confidentially guidelines

· Prophy, assessments, GI sealants, fluoride varnish, x-rays, silver diamine fluoride application, assist with dental examinations, oral health presentations

· Patient education: Detailed oral hygiene instructions & Nutritional Counseling

· Accurate charting of patient records & notes

· Community outreach to inform like-minded organizations and individuals of services provided

· Thorough review of medical records for accuracy and contraindications

· Communication with parents/guardians regarding their student’s dental conditions

· Processing of new patient paperwork

· Strong communication skills to accurately deliver necessary information to patient, parent/guardian, school administration etc.

· General housekeeping of bus, refill water tanks, empty tanks as necessary

· Additional tasks as requested to share in smooth operation of mobile dental clinic

Job Requirements

· Strong computer skills for electronic patient records

· Proficiency with Outlook 365, Dexis, and Dentrix Ascend

· Flexibility in day-to-day operations

· Travel to schools served throughout the year

· Any offer of employment will be pending until successfully passing a background check

Education/Experience

· Required: Dental Hygienist Licensure in the state of Florida

· 2+ years of clinical experience

· Pediatric experience is a plus

· Bi-lingual experience in Spanish or Portuguese a plus
