Job description
TRADING ANALYST JOB SUMMARY:
- Assist business with trade bookings of complex derivative products across multiple trade capture systems, understanding trade capture risk and underlying drivers of PnL, enhance current support infrastructure, and perform reconciliation between front-office risk systems and back-office sub-ledger
- Support all trading activity on the derivatives trading desk, including rates, currency, and equity derivatives
- Price and risk analysis for General Account, Variable Annuity, and separate account hedging teams
- Build a pricing tool to increase the speed and accuracy of responding to cross-currency swap pricing requests
- Produce and distribute weekly market commentary on equity, interest rates, and volatility
- Assist in re-design process for tracking future trading activity
- Monitor changes in assets and liabilities, to ensure we retain a hedging level within the individual program limits
TRADING ANALYST HIGHLIGHTS:
- Mon-Fri, 8a or 9a start time; 8-hour day shift
- Full-time, direct hire/permanent opportunity
- In-office/Onsite position in Charlotte area
- Excellent benefit package, bonus and incentives
- The compensation for this position is: $25-$32 per hour (based on experience)
TRADING ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Middle Office / Trade Control / Trading Assistant / Fixed Income Operation.
- Solid understanding of basic financial concepts such as time value of money, interest rate, mark-to-market, and time series modeling.
- Possess an operational understanding of derivatives product
- Knowledge of Macro/VBA
- Excellent prioritization and time-management skills
- Advanced Excel reporting skills
