Design Tech. / Drafter / Design Engineer
Job description
This is a temporary assignment at Texas Department of Transportation in Keene Texas for a Design Tech.
Pay will depend on classification that TXDOT sets for you
($17.00-$24.00)
Performs drafting, calculations and basic design work overseen by a licensed engineer.
Assists in preparation of roadway design, traffic control, lighting, and signal plans.
Prepares quantity summaries, hydraulic and utility studies and right-of-way maps.
Prepares roadway design, traffic control, lighting, signal plans.
Learns additional automated design methods or specialized design procedures in areas including bridge/culvert detailing, traffic management, geometric design, signal/lighting design, retaining walls and building design.
Intermediate design and hand and computer-aided drafting procedures
2 years in Drafting, design, plan preparation
Our State Set aside contract require us to hold a ratio of 75%- 25%
Meaning 75% of our employees either have to have a disability or a barrier to employment
