About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Ahoskie offers a moderate cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a temperate climate and location to support a variety of year round outdoor activities, such as boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and golf.

Position Summary

The Development Specialist will be developing, implementing, and directing the overall development activites for ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital. In this role, you will also provide leadership support with Roanoke Chowan Foundation, in requesting grant funding from Foundation's trust and other sources. Willing to promote the hospital's mission and goals regarding customer service and quality and participate in all educational and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree, preferably in marketing, public relations or communications

• At least 2-3 years relevant job experience in fundraising, event planning, community/public relations and/or marketing

• Four years successful experience in marketing, public relations or communications may be substituted for education requirement

Other Information

• 20 hours a week

• May be required to work occassional weekends
