JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Deliver screening services to children using the DESE approved instrument. Record and score the protocol as directed in the DESE approved instrument, conference with parents, submit referrals when needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education – Minimum sixty hours of college credit and two years of successful experience working with young children and families OR High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years of experience working with young children and families.
Knowledge/Skills – Knowledge of 3-5 year old development and how pre-school age children learn. Understanding of DESE approved protocol, vision/hearing, height/weight screening. Experience - Demonstrated ability to work with young children required. Skilled at structuring and presenting verbal communication to a client base ranging from preschooler age individuals to adults.
