The DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining the CI/CD delivery pipelines, tooling, and monitoring services for the Aputure Data platforms. As one of the early hires of this team, you will get to shape the DevOps culture and best practices within a growing Aputure data team.

The Role:

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Build, diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to source control.
• Deploy containers to AWS, as well as be able to rapidly provision necessary instances in the cloud.
• Leverage Docker, Kubernetes and other orchestration tools to improve scalability of Aputure's data systems.
• Design workflows to take prototype data systems to production.
• Help develop best practices around tooling and establish a DevOps culture within a growing Aputure data team.
• Be involved in on-call duties as well as production hot fixes.

Required Qualifications:

• At least Bachelor's in Computer Science or relevant fields
• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability role
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS proficient and preferably Aliyun)
• If no Aliyun experience, willingness to ramp up on Aliyun
• Proficient in working with Kubernetes workloads in production environment
• Ability to implement production grade CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of tools like Git, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Datadog, ELK, Ansible etc.
• Experience in participating in on-call rotations and dealing with hot fixes

Specifications:

• 6 months contract with potential for renewal or conversion to full time
• 40 hours/week working hours
• Remote eligible (Los Angeles presence preferred)
• Work authorization: US citizen or permanent resident
• Direct hire only - no agencies

Salary: $50-$70/hour depending on experience
