Position Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician in San Bernardino CA! The Diesel Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy-duty Class 8 Truck repairs and maintenance.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Monthly Bonus Program!

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

What the Diesel Mechanic/Technician role looks like:

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Our Technician will use our mobile service truck to support our Trailer Fleet in City Of Industry when needed

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• At least 1-3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
• Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
• Must have a valid driver's license

• Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required)
• Air brake: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• EPA Type II (Preferred)
• ASE Certification (Preferred)
