Searching for healthcare professionals to be direct care providers at local non-profit in Shreveport, LA. Applicants will work closely with residents in order to provide care and assist in treatment. The institution is looking for professionals in both the long term and short term and provides in-depth training for position as well as certifications for individual and professional growth.

Medical experience is preferred not required.

Job Summary:

Specific Skills and Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

• Supervise, assist, and train residents in all activities of daily living, including but not limited to: personal hygiene skills, clothing care skills, social skills, leisure/research skills, care of personal space, dining skills, toileting skills and appropriate behavioral skills.
• Provide continuous active treatment for residents.
• Accurately complete all assigned documentation, including but not limited to: formal and service objectives, behavior incident reports, accident/incident documentation, medical-related documentation. Input specified documentation into system.
• Report any signs/symptoms of resident illness to the nurse on duty and the supervisor.
• Provide additional services which may be assigned as part of the job such as laundry, dining room duties, or any other reasonable requests made by the supervisor deemed necessary as part of the job.
