RISE is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1980 as Aid To The Developmentally Disabled (ADD) by family members who were concerned about the physical and emotional decline of patients compelled to live in crowded institutions. These family members believed that appropriate treatment and training in a warm, sheltered, homelike environment would enhance their physical and emotional growth. With the support, funding and licensing of New York State’s Office of People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Office of Mental Health (OMH), ADD came to life.

We are seeking Direct Support Professional to work in our OPWDD residential group homes. Direct Support Professionals work as part of a comprehensive treatment team. The goal of the the team is to support our individuals in becoming as independent as possible . Typical responsibilities center around counseling, crisis intervention , skill training and assistance with daily care . We are currently offering a $2000 dollar sign on bonus and offer very competitive salaries and benefit plans.

There are Full-Time, Part-Time, Overnights, Weekends Only, and On-Call positions available. We service the east end of Long Island in the following locations: Riverhead, Cutchogue, Flanders, Wading River, Shirley/Riverhead, Greenport, Ridge, Calverton, Jamesport and Middle Island.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Excellent Communication Skill
