POSITION PURPOSE:

Oversees all aspects of the CSTAR adolescent substance abuse treatment to ensure that the consumers and family members received quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in mental health field and three (3) or more years experience in supervised experience in the treatment of adolescents. Licensed preferred. Specialized training in the treatment of adolescents and substance abuse and at least one (1) year supervisory experience. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1) Perform the services and duties of Clinical Services Director.
2) Maintain quality and continuity of adolescent substance abuse including co-occurring disorder treatment.
3) Oversee all staff operations.
4) Direct recruitment, hiring and training of staff.
5) Assure contract compliance and coordination with DMH rules and the regulations.
6) Ensure program meets all certification requirements for the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, CARF or other accrediting agencies as required.
7) Manage sub-contracts and referral arrangements and coordination with referrals in other community agencies.
8) Manage program development.
9) Provide fiscal management and accountability.
10) Participate in agency meetings as appropriate.
11) Monitor staff attendance and compliance with rules and regulations of the organization.

Other duties as assigned.


Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
