Looking to apply your experience and expertise to a purpose-driven, operationally focused, and growing team making a positive impact in the world? As a Director of Credit, you will lead, oversee
and direct all activities and operations of the credit and collections department. The Director of Credit also works with the VP of Finance and other key stakeholders on ad hoc credit requests and process
optimization projects throughout Soligent. Thriving in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Director of Credit is instrumental in bringing clean, affordable, and modern energy to the world

Helps Soligent make a positive impact by:
  • Leading, creating and implementing credit and collections initiatives to achieve monthly collection goals
  • Directing and creating team plans for daily activities to maximize collection efforts and determining credit worthiness of new or existing customers
  • Analyzing, assessing and determining course of action for credit and collection issues, including reviewing the aging report and pursuing collection of past due amounts
  • Creating systems and policies that will assist in assessing and determining credit risk; being an active participant in this process
  • Determining the extension of credit for new or existing customers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with credit insurance providers to ensure proper coverage and eliminate overall company risk
  • Resolving customer disputes and negotiating settlements with customers on all account issues
  • Providing robust reporting of Credit analytics to support strategic and day-to-day operations, including preparing regular updates as necessary to key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading the Credit & Collections team, creating an inclusive and cohesive environment to bring out the best in every team member
  • Directing and coordinating customer service activities and following-up on customer short pays or billing disputes
  • Reviewing credit policy and recommending adjustments when delinquent patterns occur
  • Establishing, implementing, and monitoring collections policy and procedures; making and communicating adjustments as needed following Soligent's internal procedures including SOP development
  • Identifying, documenting, and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Keeping up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions
  • All other duties as assigned by manager

Location: Remote

Required Skills/Proficiencies: The Director of Credit must have the following skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, or similar preferred or relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years within the credit/collections field, or equivalent experience
  • Certified credit professional accreditation is a plus (CCE, CBA, CBF, CCRA, CICP, CCP)
  • Ability to analyze financial statements for credit worthiness
  • Proven ability and understanding of effective collection techniques and credit risk analysis, including fraud detection
  • Computer skills with MS Office software with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; customer service mindset required.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail-oriented, be able to interact with cross-functional teams, be organized, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Act as a flexible and innovative team player

Physical Demands: The Director of Credit must have the ability

  • To speak clearly and hear oral communications by telephone, video call, and in person
  • To have close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • To sit for prolonged periods, sometimes for two hours or more when working on the computer
  • To lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
  • To enter text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Colorado is expected to be between $160,000-$170,000 and for a candidate in NYC is expected to be between $160,000-$170,000, but may be higher or lower in other States due to geographic differentials in the labor market.
