Summary

Director level leadership role responsible for leading team overseeing C&I Key West region sales and marketing team within NA Land & Flyers sales organization. Manages sales team who focuses on exceeding existing customer’s expectations, cross-selling, up-selling, and product penetration to ensure that that our customer retention rate exceeds 95%. Acts as an escalation point to support complex issues and problems. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a C&I sales team. Applies in-depth knowledge of how C&I West-region sales organization integrates with/across the retail and inside sales team and broader Land functions. Role oversees the teams in the West US.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for year-over-year sales results of West-region C&I and Lubes sales teams and sales marketing.
  • Manages to objectives beyond closing sales, including growth, profitability, cost of sale, strategic sales initiatives.
  • Controls sales resources and sales policy formation based on corporate guidance and strategic sales priorities.
  • Plans, directs, and guides the work of professional team members, ensuring that appropriate levels and organization of staffing and systems resources are utilized and maintained.
  • Develops departmental plans, including sales area aligned to sales discipline plans
  • Implements, develop oversees department’s strategic direction and operational objectives.
  • Significant impact on the performance of C&I West sales West team.
  • Ensures company, legal and regulatory/compliance policies are communicated and ensures compliance.
  • Hires employees, evaluates training needs, supervises, and evaluates performance of subordinate team members including written evaluations; addresses performances issues when necessary.

Requirements, Competencies and Certifications

  • Strong leadership skills, be well organized, well informed, capable of leading by influence, and able to achieve desired goals and objectives while maintaining the respect and support of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think conceptually and effectively communicate direction to staff and business departments.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills; able to present to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Listens and communicates technical subjects to both technical and nontechnical audiences, flexes style to suit the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to work with others effectively, with 3rd parties, internal teams, and international business units, promoting knowledge sharing within and across teams.
  • Identifies and uses individual team member capabilities to help the team. Provides learning opportunities, stretch assignments, reinforcing and redirecting feedback, and coaching.
  • Clearly expresses the right information to others in a timely manner and through the appropriate channel; uses non-verbal cues to read the audience and adjust message.
  • Furthers the strategic vision of the association by aligning daily actions to the initiatives and goals of the business.
  • Draws upon knowledge and experience, observation, and inquiry to shape the behavior of others and benefit the organization.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum ten years of sales or equivalent management experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas preferred but not required.
