The Director, Corporate Communications develops and implements corporate communications initiatives, including public relations (PR), social media, internal communications, and media relations. The Director is responsible for managing the communications team and creates and edits content, and coordinates key communications assignments in support of the MissionSquare Retirement Brand and Corporate identity. The Director is also responsible for bringing various corporate communications assignments together across the company.
Essential Functions for this role include:
- Manage and implement internal and external communications
- Work with the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Head of Corporate Strategy on corporate communications strategy and content
- Assist other departments with defining corporate communications approaches, manage communications tasks for new initiatives, and implement these tasks
- Develop and distribute on-going internal messages for executive leadership, including town halls, teammate updates and leadership forums
- Manage and provide oversight for a small corporate communications team
- Draft CEO messages, talking points, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Draft press releases
- Script writing for video production
- Perform other duties as assigned
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
- 7-10 years of experience managing a corporate communications team and managing internal and external communications preferred. Proficient in PowerPoint, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong writing skills
- Mission-driven
- Background in Journalism
- Can work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in financial services or government relations roles
