Responsibilities:

Provides strong leadership in the planning, development, and execution of reporting, information, and data policies, activities, and products that drive achievement of strategic goals and business success in the Medical Management arena. Effects innovative reporting, technology and application solutions to support business needs. Demonstrates excellent staffing capabilities through effective hiring, staff development and strong performance management.

In addition, the Director, HealthCare Analytics will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensures superior data and analytics support through a strong portfolio of enterprise medical management reports that monitor Key Performance Indicators and drive strong business decisions.
  • Ensures that an appropriate data science discipline is incorporated into all reporting and analytics. Demonstrated appropriate use of statistical principles in reporting and analytics.
  • Directs professional and analytical staff to ensure superior data and analytics support all quality and HEDIS performance reporting requirements
  • Effectively manages a large and broad portfolio of work and projects, ensuring that goals, requirements, and outcomes are clearly understood and that the appropriate resources are used to deliver superior effective products in a timely and efficient manner. Manages work in a well-planned and organized manner.
  • Collaborates with internal partners (IS, PMO, Business) to improve our practices and ensure they are integrated with the broader community.
  • Understands the strategic priorities of the company and makes strong business decisions in support of achieving business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional management staff and key business customers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Adjusts readily to changing priorities and assignments and manages staff workload accordingly.
  • Represents the HEDIS Strategy & Analytics as needed at key meetings and on strategic initiatives.
  • Assists with New Business Activations to ensure a smooth and efficient installation. Contact person to support the writers with RFP specific questions pertinent to the analytics department.
  • Produce reports to support the JIT campaigns and lead communication efforts
  • Development of dashboards in support of quality assurance and training.
  • Deals proactively and tactfully with difficult customers, viewing such situations as opportunities to continually build stronger working relationships.
  • Actively and effectively participates in the development and implementation of new business.
  • Is fully oriented to the strategic goals and initiatives of the Department, Company, individual Plans, and the industry. Effectively translates goals into actionable work plans for individual staff.

Education/ Experience:

  • Master’s Degree required in Business Administration, Healthcare or Information Systems strongly preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years Medical Economics, Informatics or medical management and analytic reporting.
  • 3 - 5 years of HEDIS, quality improvement experience preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare DSNP and Exchange populations preferred.
  • 10 or more years Management experience with at least 5 years in managed care.
  • Experience with managing remote staff and managers.
