Job description

The Director of Loan Production is responsible for all loan origination activity in both the relocation and retail business channels. This person will use their extensive origination and mortgage banking knowledge to lead the department to the desired production goals. They will be charged with production of high-quality loans and assisting in exploring new business opportunities while driving a highly motivated team. This leader will be responsible for continuous improvement, high service delivery and a strong partnership with our lead sources. The position works closely with operations and secondary to ensure complete loan level and company success.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
50% Leading and Managing Teams

• Utilization of managerial experience and interpersonal training to monitor the distribution of daily works as well as distribution of client sources
• Responsible for monitoring and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to make independent decision on the success level of the Loan Production team
• Use of mortgage industry knowledge in unison with relocation specific policies and practices to resolve issues
• Responsible for the sourcing, hiring and performance management within the Loan Production Department
• Exercise independent judgment in coaching, training, developing, motivating, and disciplining of team

35% Projects and Partnerships

• Growing the non-relocation channel through a variety of sources and partnerships
• Leading projects and initiatives to drive quality throughout SIRVA Mortgage in partnership with SIRVA Relocation
• Working as a liaison for the Loan Production team with lead sources and other managers

15% Continuous Improvement

• Arranging for a culture of constant improvement
• Assess reasons leading to fallout, provide for continues process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS

• Minimum of 8 years in mortgage banking origination required
• Relocation lending experience preferred
• Successful track record building quality loan production required
• Extremely high customer service orientations with the ability to start and build relationships
• Expert knowledge of loan process flow, compliance and legal requirements of lending
• Experience managing projects and ability to multi-task or conduct multiple projects
• Possess a self-management style that does not require supervision. Knowledge of setting and maintaining goals, as well as the ability to analyze, forecast and seek resolution
• Maintain high quality contacts within the industry for sourcing
