Peabody TV is an award-winning community media center. Our mission is to provide the space and tools for our local community to transform thoughts and ideas into publicly available media. We aspire to be the go-to resource for digital media creation where everyone in our community has access to the right tools, education and delivery platform to tell their story–and that’s where you come in.

Peabody TV seeks a fun, “out of the box” creative to join our team as Associate Director of Education. The right candidate will enjoy teaching innovative workshops and classes to people of all ages.

Responsibilities:Responsibilities:

• Develop and facilitate a schedule of unique, inclusive and innovative classes and workshops for our community, including Peabody Youth Television.
• Co-manage high school work-study students, and college interns with the Associate Director of Community Productions.
• Participate in staff productions as needed.
• Stay informed on the latest video and social media trends.
• Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on business needs.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

• Experience with media production; teaching experience a plus.
• Adobe Creative Cloud experience required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Experience in trauma-informed care preferred.
• Maintain a positive and solutions-focused attitude, while being open to constructive feedback.
• A willingness and curiosity to learn new things.
• A commitment to accessibility and digital equity for all.
• The belief in free speech and creative expression.
• Embrace and adapt to new technologies.
• A commitment to create trustworthy content.
• Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment and ability to meet set goals and deadlines while multitasking under changing priorities, daily time constraints, and last minute requests.
• Strong commitment to the mission of Public, Educational, and Governmental Access.
• Bachelor’s Degree or two years experience in related fields.

• CORI background check required upon hire.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
