Director of Finance Direct Hire Opportunity with a luxury brand client in NY!

· Review operating expenses to cost savings opportunities and ensure all channels (retail, ecommerce, and wholesale) meet their top-line goal in order to manage expenses.

· Work/collaborate with corporate HQ (Europe/China) to achieve the company’s goals and prioritize US initiatives.

· Enchance and train corporate team’s knowledge as needed. Address performance issues accordingly.

· Improve efficiency and effectiveness of Finance, IT and Logistics department.

· Establish monthly, quarterly and mid year P&L review with leadership team, retail team and action accordingly

Tasks

· Complete Month-End and Year end closing such as preparing and booking provisions, running fixed asset program, preparing HBII entries, ensuring intercompany ties out

· Prepare annual budgets, break down monthly and by department

· Analyse budget variances monthly and report to teamwith suggested actions

· Review variances with President: budget v. actual

· Provide controllables report to department heads, channel leads and regional managers monthly

· Over see AP/AR/Payroll/Benefits/legal fees

· Perform collection calls as necessary- Hilldun and HQ to release orders

· Work with external auditors and CPA’s providing all information in a timely manner to meet government deadlines.

· Review and negotiate company’ insurance plans

· Prepare and file State sales taxes

· Prepare and file all paperwork relating to 401K plan to meet government regulations; work with outside auditors to prepare Auditor’s opinion of the plan

· Manage all banking relations and treasury functions

· Utilize outside counsel whenever needed to resolve legal matters; update President and HQ monthly status

· Manage Finance team and IT/store planning manager to optimize productivity and efficiencies

· Monitor/review chargebacks with Finance, Retail, Ecomm and Wholesale teams

· Logistics: any questions regarding Customs, duty drawbacks, duty rates, item classification, ACE portal, analyse different programs in the market that maybe beneficial to company- manage all Hermes integrations and correspondence via Gerd Inkman, representative

· Negotiate various vendor contracts, such as UPS, AP, Travel, Credit Card Processors, etc.

· Ad Hoc Projects

· Work with Retail on a new store opening workbook where all store proformas, P&L, lease terms and financials live

· NSO- COi’s, security deposits and department execution

Internal and External Interactions

· Tax accountants, Corporate auditors, Legal advisors, Bankers, Government tax agencies, Vendors, Customers, All employees of Wolford America

Professional Requirements (Apprenticeship, Professional Experience)

· Accounting/Finance degree

· At least 3 years experience in apparel industry

· Leadership and supervision of multiple departments

· Team player

· Management of different personalties, finances, operations

· Hands on in day to day finance functions

Individual Requirements (Competences and Properties)

· Proactive strategy and alternative solutions to top or bottom line indicators

· Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, presence and authority amongst HQ partners

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
