Avenues Recovery Center is seeking to hire a Director of Medical Development to oversee the operations, development and quality assurance of medical practices throughout our network.

Avenues Recovery Drug Rehab & Detox Centers offer premier inpatient and outpatient Addiction Recovery Treatment to local communities throughout the country. With our team of skilled medical and clinical professionals, Avenues Recovery brings first class treatment and recovery.

Primary Focus: To ensure quality and efficiency of medical operations at all Avenues locations by providing medical direction in support of daily operations, taking full responsibility of medical development, and overseeing quality assurance measures.

Location: This position will be working out of our corporate office in Central NJ.

Medical Protocol Development

• Develops medical protocol and treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient substance use programs
• Develops operational workflow processes and tools to ensure execution of protocols
• Develops onboarding and training reference materials

Provides Operational Support

• Onboards and trains providers and nurse management personnel
• Provides onsite medical training as needed
• Gives direction to support providers with challenges related to medical and psychiatric stabilization and withdrawal management
• Provides solutions for operational challenges as relates to patient care, medical personnel, and workflow process
• Collaborates with utilization review, compliance, quality assurance, facility medical teams, and payor sources as needed.

Quality Assurance and Oversight

• Oversees maintenance of all medical protocol and processes at all locations
• Audits facility documentation to ensure timely and quality charting practices at all facilities
• Assesses quality of care provided to inform medical development priorities
• Ensures plan of correction and training is executed as needed

Requirements:

• MD, NP, PA license preferred
• RN with extensive SUD and management experience possible candidate as well.
• Experience and proficiency in the substance use treatment industry and medically monitored withdrawal management required.
