We are seeking a Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. Overseeing our field nurses in Loudoun and Prince William Counties in Virginia and our Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in Maryland. You will be based out of our Ashburn, VA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care and clinical management skills. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills and compassionate leadership qualities are must-haves. Must be able to think critically and adapt quickly to new situations.

The DON is responsible for leading and supervising the Skilled department and providing oversight on the clinical portion of the other departments. The position is ultimately responsible and accountable for the nursing care received by our clients in the comfort of their homes.

The DON job duties include:

• Directing the Skilled program and overseeing the clinical portion of the Personal Care departments, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary.
• Ensuring the skilled department is compliant with all local, state, federal, and joint commission regulations.
• Provide health promotion, counseling, and education,
• Start of Care Assessments, Reassessments, participating in creating client's care plans and ensuring they are followed.
• Ensuring that care is delivered appropriately, and the standards of quality are adhered to.
• Communicating with families, clients, and physicians as needed
• Overseeing hiring, firing, and development of nursing staff.

Requirements:

• BSN from an accredited College or University. MHA or MBA in healthcare management preferred
• Active CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Current Virginia State Registered Nurse License in good standing
• At least five years of clinical experience
• Strong patient education skills
• Strong interpersonal skills

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
