Job description

Digital Printing and Marketing company is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead their Palm Beach County facility. The ideal candidate should be an established leader experienced in digital and/or large format printing or marketing services to small businesses with a solid track record of working with everyone from machine operators to C-level management to initiate and implement long term strategies geared toward operational excellence. Responsibilities

• There is a knowledgeable customer service, account management and production manager and crew in place and key initiatives include growth, maintaining on time deliveries, process improvement, equipment and software acquisition, and waste reduction
• This individual will oversee all aspects of operations that include customer service, sales, production, purchasing, AR, budgets and HR. The production manager reports to the VP of Operations and manages a team in production(includes prepress, digital and screen printing, finishing, shipping, warehouse, and maintenance)
• Supervise all aspects of the day to day printing company. This includes the customer service team (quotes and customer satisfaction), pre-press (designers) and production through shipping and provide leadership and direction to all employees
• Plan, schedule, and direct production and manufacturing priorities according to customers’ needs and company best practices
• Hire, lead, coach, develop, and train team members within a fast-paced environment
• Forecast, schedule, plan, organize, provide strategic direction, and monitor all printing production to achieve maximum productivity, quality, and safety
• Establish a metrics driven environment, meet or exceed KPI objectives, and control costs
• Work hand in hand with executive management
• Establish and administer the budget and manage vendor relationships for outsourced work
• Recommend new processes, software, technologies, equipment, and monitor industry trends
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
• Stay up to date on current industry innovations and best practices

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5 years of financial, manufacturing, and customer care management of a printing company or facility
• A proven track record of supervising a team within a fast-paced printing environment, while reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of safety and quality
• Proven track record in hands-on operations management, emphasizing strategic planning, production planning, and manufacturing
• Knowledgeable in inkjet large format and digital printing
• Ability to hire, coach, mentor, and train within a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office and print management software
• Currently live or be able to relocate to the Palm Beach County Area (this is an on-site position)
• Ability to travel to occasional industry events, conferences, and trade shows
