Job Brief:
The Center for Independent Futures is an Evanston based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities live full and more independent lives. They are seeking a full-time Director of Programs and Services. This role will offer innovative leadership, manage multiple organizational programs, and provide sound fiscal management. The Director of Programs and Services will oversee the Direct Services staff, including those who provide life skills coaching and development to our clients.

Responsibilities:
The Director of Program and Services will ensure that high-quality services are provided to all our participants and that services meet our organizational goals for service and program growth and sustainability in the areas of:

• Participant intake and enrollment
• Housing consultation and determination of housing alternatives
• Best participant experience
• Engagement of families
• Government relations, including licensing and fund seeking
• Regulatory and Council on Quality Leadership (CQL) compliancy
• Disability Advocacy
• Community outreach
• Financial, operational, and staff management.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
We are looking for a person to fulfill the responsibilities of this senior leadership role who has the education credentials, work experience, and personal commitment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in special education, social work, psychology, or related field
• Minimum five years work experience managing a team of professionals
• Work experience that includes CQL or similar accreditation, management of multiple housing options for IDD populations, and acquisition and execution of a state licensed program.
• Collaborative work style and ability to manage at both a strategic an executional level
