Director of Store Operations

Based in Fridley, MN, BoB’s Produce Ranch opened in 1959, selling locally grown fruits and vegetables. In 1969 we moved the business to our present location on University Avenue and Osborne Road. Our three-generation family-owned retail store specializes in high-quality, perishable products and has been in business over 64 years.

We currently have an opening for a Director of Store Operations. This is a 50 hour a week salaried position that reports directly to the Owners. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the industry. Duties are as follows:

• Responsible for overseeing all department managers and ensuring they are held accountable for the condition of their departments including monitoring hiring practices, scheduling, and following all store policies and procedures.
• Overall responsibility for staffing the store.
• Monitoring merchandising, loss prevention, and department appearance as well as overall store appearance.
• Monitoring cash management for the store including approval of store expenses as needed.
• Review vendors and update vendor policies as required.
• Review weekly ad items with department managers.
• Responsible for taking initiative when problems arise and using judgement to take immediate corrective action.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ in store management
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently and can multitask
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing staff
• Experience taking initiative and using judgement before making corrective actions.
