Job Summary

Remote Position with Regular Nationwide Travel (Willingness to travel 25% to 50%)

Position Summary:
The Proposal Solutions Development Director (Soft Services - Janitorial) is responsible for supporting the ESFM operations team in developing and pricing innovative solutions for customers and integrators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of the IFM industry with specific knowledge / skills in the soft services delivery (primarily janitorial and landscape services and other misc. soft services); Hard service skills a plus (mechanical / technical facility experience).
  • Coordinates with sales & senior management all large scale multi services proposals to create synergy for creative and winning proposals while implementing "best practices" for the division.
  • Helps ensure key proposals are properly scoped, identify missing and evaluate assumptions, help identify risks, help to evaluate cost, ensure text and response match requirements.
  • Participates in bidder’s conferences, customer site visits, costing support, etc. Debriefs proposal team on observations and information gathered.
  • Recommends and leads the management of proposal tool systems in collaboration with operations to ensure accurate services descriptions in alignment with operational practices and procedures; develops and maintains benchmarks.
  • Helps develop presentation materials for both internal and external needs and insure consistency and adherence to company’s requirements
  • Evaluates key bid opportunities with senior management, sales, legal and corporate support staff in order to assist the process of preparing and submitting successful proposals.
  • Participates and lead strategy sessions on assigned proposals to develop win themes, and other strategic approaches to developing a winning proposal.
  • Works with sales team to enhance proposal libraries in support of establishing proposal development tools and templates.
  • Participates in proposal review meetings to ensure integration of all proposal activities.
  • Understand client needs and internal capabilities/plans to enhance quality of proposals.
  • Development of Comprehensive and Innovative FM Solutions and Pricing/Costing Strategies
  • Analyses customer portfolios, scopes of work and operating costs and RFP compliance
  • Lead effort to transition bid / proposal information to mobilization process
  • Develops costs for labor, benefits, other direct costs, materials, and subcontracts once all the technical data is evaluated and formulated into the various plans.
  • Performs detailed financial analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, real estate or a related field as appropriate or relevant industry experience
  • Experience in facility services or related field (estimating) a plus.
  • Management, budgetary and financial training are necessary. Strong project management skills. Proposal development experience preferred. Strong technical competency or the ability to work well with internal technical experts.
  • Possess strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Has good written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working in a dynamic team and customer-facing situations.
