We are looking for a Dispensary Manager to lead the Big Sky Herbaceous team in this established location. Cannabis Retail & Management experience is preferred. Please see position details below. We cannot wait to meet you!
Summary
This position within the company encompasses the ability to keep tabs on all inner workings of the shop. It requires an acute attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage people and product simultaneously.
Managers set the tone for their shop, how it looks, how it feels, and how it operates. Managers must obtain a deep understanding of company culture, goals, and standards.
This is a Monday through Friday, full-time position.
While this is mainly an administrative position, budtending and working the sales floor will be a regular part of the Manager's day to day.
*Please note: A company vehicle will be provided in the instance that the selected candidate should need to commute from the Bozeman area.
Duties & Responsibilities
People Management
- Scheduling of all employees
- Managing time off requests
- Point of contact for scheduling issues (conflicts, sick days, etc.)
- Assisting in the interview process
- Assisting in the onboarding process
- Training
- Performance Management & Coaching
- Day to day management of team (delegating task and projects as needed)
- Prepare & Conduct Performance Reviews
- Contributing to weekly manager/leadership meetings
Product Management
- Forecasting shop needs and communicating to buyer
- Product Intake
- Ensuring accurate weights on flower, and counts on all other products
- Verifying accurate and acceptable test results for all products
- Ensuring all product is organized for sale in a first in first out (FIFO) order
- Ensuring product is not sold outside of company standards in regards to expiration dates/acceptable time frames past test dates
- Ensuring accurate inventory is accounted for and reconciled between POS & Metrc on a daily basis
- Identifying needs & success rates for in store specials
- Cash management, daily cash drawer drops, reconciling discrepancies

Experience, Education & Certification
- Managerial/Leadership Experience - 2 Years Preferred
- Cannabis industry knowledge - 2 Years Preferred
- Valid government issued ID - Required
- Montana Agent Badge (TAP) - Required
- Recent clear color photo (within last 6 months) from shoulders up - Required
- Willingness to undergo state required background check - Required
Physical Requirements
The ability to:
- Bend at the waist and knees
- Crouch
- Twist
- Lift up to 15 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds occasionally
- Stand or sit for up to 8hrs at a time
- Ability to reach or grasp
- Use small step stool/ladder when necessary
