Job Description

This individual will help our customers understand, select, and purchase our full offering of cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles and topicals. The ideal person will not only be extremely knowledgeable regarding the efficacy, effects, aroma, taste and aesthetic of our in store products, but will also be a friendly, engaging, and compassionate individual.

Responsibilities

• Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, including greeting customers warmly when they enter.
• Work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Become educated on every brand carried including expected effects, benefits, selling points, and more.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to the customers with ease and compassion.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business, and get to know the customer and their specific needs in order to help them select the best possible products for their unique needs.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with customer information and interaction.
• Processing retail transactions and assisting customers in store with questions, fulfilling online orders and curbside pick-up duties .
• Verifying Recommendations, ensure documents are current and referencing the correct price tier and state limits per customer types.
• Provide customers alike with information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (we do not provide medical advice).
• Be open to continued, ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Cash handling, verifying and counting currency accurately.
• Multi-task, think critically, and work quickly to resolve problems as they arise.
• Provide support to store manager, assistant manager, and colleagues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/storefront.
• Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and ensure the state-monitored inventory system (Leaflogix) accurately updates the amount of product available.
• Communicates clearly with the store managers and other members of the team.

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here represent those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in a retail environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here represent those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
