Position Location: USA REMOTE
We are currently recruiting for a Distribution Manager FHC Industrial & Institutional North America. This position reports to the Senior Manager Sales, Home Care Americas, and can be located anywhere in the US, remotely.
Purpose of Job:
Primarily responsible to manage distribution and distributors within Essential Care Chemicals (ECC) and adjacent business segments. Lead all development efforts to deliver long-term profitable growth with selected distributors. Ensure translation of ECC strategies for the region and market segments into exceptionable distributor strategies. Responsible for the optimization of sales volumes, prices, market share, and contribution margin for designated application sectors. Growth of assigned territory to meet KPIs set by Commercial Business Team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute distributor strategy to deliver on long-term strategic targets
- Set and execute short-term budgets for the assigned territory based on identified market opportunities
- Set, negotiate, and execute all commercial activities related to distributors within commercial framework
- Develop strategic relationships with distributors and other key players in the target markets
- Deliver the earnings growth targets set by strategic direction
- Continuously interact with R&D, Managers S&M, Sales Managers, and other technical personnel in order to coordinate and manage all aspects of the daily business/product sales
- Implement changes/improvements to Sasol business systems/processes so that they are more aligned to support the Business Strategy
- Support the negotiation and execution of contracts with Distributors
- Provide key market info into Marketing to ensure empowered decision making
- Actively manage distribution partners to ensure full alignment on strategy execution
Formal Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; preferably Technical degree, e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology
Working Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemical industry
Required Personal and Professional Skills:
- Broad leadership skills
- Technical and commercial background
- Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills
- Personnel management experience
- Ability to prioritize and control workload
- Demonstrated communication, relationship building, and selling skills
- Customer service and solution-oriented
- User skills for IT modules corresponding to Sales tasks
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Fluency in English; Portuguese preferred
