Role Overview:
The Distribution Supervisor will interact with multiple computer systems and departments to perform a variety of tasks in accordance with defined job processes with a focus on safety and quality in a 24-hour, global distribution operation supporting a Medical Device company. They are expected to comprehend and demonstrate compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions. Tasks may include manual and clerical distribution duties. Duties performed are of a complex nature involving in-depth knowledge of our distribution processes & Lean methodology. Duties performed may focus on a particular distribution area including international or domestic shipping, set assembling, receiving & put away, returns processing and inventory management. The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for providing constructive input to enhance the work process/environment by making suggestions and implementing process changes in partnership with senior leadership to ensure the achievement of the Distribution Center objectives.
Responsibilities:
- The daily responsibilities will be dependent on the daily workload
- coordination of resources, systems, and processes to ensure that all teams deliver agreed upon daily targets
- Shift start-up activities to include preparing daily work and providing input in scheduling work assignments and coordinating shipping activities for all areas of the building.
- Comprehend and demonstrate compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions

- Direct teams to provide timely and accurate shipment of customers’ orders, coordinate activity associated with completion of set assembly and shipment, coordinate receiving, put away & replenishment activity, coordinate returns processing activity and coordinator inventory management activity
- Interact with multiple computer systems to perform a variety of tasks in accordance with defined job processes to ensure daily objectives are met
- Perform quality checks on assigned activity for accuracy
- Demonstrate ability to interface with customers and employees of all levels in the organization, organization skills, multi-tasking, demonstrate practical problem-solving skills, demonstrate analytical & data-based decision-making skills, process improvement, and collaboration, communication (verbal & written)
Education:
Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
5+ years' experience in Supply Chain working domestically and internationally with proven warehouse management, freight forwarding and parcel/express experience. Preferably in or for the Life Science/Healthcare industry.
Key skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
intermediate level skills in Excel and Power point.
Demonstrate sense of urgency
