Title: Document Specialist

Company: Evergreen,Insight Global’s Manage Service Division supporting PG&E

Location: Hybrid– 3x/week in San Ramon

Pay rate: $30/hr

Duration: 3 month, possibility of extension

Must Haves

· 5+ years of documenting experience

· Strong communication skills

· Project management skills

· Some technical writing experience – editing, proof reading, etc.

Plusses

· past utility/PG&E experience

· Experience with Visio – working with flow charts

· Experience with form development

Day-to-Day

Evergreen is partnering with a local utility company support their efforts to update the Protective Grounding Manual. This manual impacts transmission, substation and distribution to ensure safety and best practices in the field. As the Document Specialist, you will be working closely and acting as the bridge between the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field and the Technical Writer on the team. You will be assigned specific manual sections to support the responsible SME’s, attending meetings with the SME’s and conducting interviews, taking notes to help capture the language for the manuals, typing up and redlining documentation, providing some proof reading support, etc. You will pass along the documentation/notes to the Technical writer and work closely with them to make edits and revisions to the final manual draft.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
