Position Summary:

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and in-stock conditions. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the store in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Essential Job Functions:

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Receive product according to Company Policy and check all invoices to ensure proper billing.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
• Ensure refrigerated product is kept at a safe temperature while moving through the check-in process.
• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity (including Computer Assisted Ordering).
• Pass yearly Company Receiver Certification.
• Perform DSD CAO shelf review daily.
• Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received.
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
• Track all people entering and leaving the Receiving Area and obtain direction from management if someone shouldn't be present.
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product and check vendors' containers before leaving the store.
• Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for keeping the area secure and organized specifically in regards to trash, go-backs, promotional and advertised items, spoils and returns.
• Prepare back room for Physical Inventory and assist with backroom counts.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• 18 years of age
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
