- 3-5 years of work experience with children preferred (Examples: career planning, developing post-secondary plans, supporting teachers in teaching college/career awareness, analyzing data)

- Ensures that all students update their Educational Development Plan yearly utilizing Career Cruising or other career software provided by the district
- Assist students with completing a Post-Secondary Plan aligned to their Educational Development Plan
- Expand the opportunities available to students for their post-secondary planning (i.e. Campus Visits, College/Career Fair, Internships, Job-Shadows, Apprenticeships)
- Assist administration in implementing a College-Going culture (i.e. College Application Week, Student Recognition, Scholarship Programs, LCAN Representative, Decision Day)
- Work with administration on all aspects of the Direct College Program (i.e Recruitment, Enrollment, Compass Testing, Liaison with Monroe County Community College)
- Collaborate with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators, teachers, public agencies, community members, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining assigned services and programs.
- Collaborate with Case Managers to provide support and guidance with staff and special education needs.
- Prepares a wide variety of often complex materials (e.g. School Improvement plans, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
- Participate in meetings with Student Support Team staff to discuss individual student needs. Communicate these needs to administration.
- Develop, research, and lead professional development for the school as needed.
- Research and invite outside partners into our school to share knowledge and programming.
- Assist with the enrollment process of new students and their transition into our school.
- Support administration with programs, services or special projects that directly or indirectly support student achievement/student support
- Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to coordinate climate–related school events
- Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to maintain systems to ensure a positive school climate for all members of the school community
- Provide leadership to the school community in the prevention, intervention, and response to reports of bullying, discrimination, and otherwise mean-spirited behavior in the school
- Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to ensure implementation of District and School Positive School Climate Plan
- Membership on the School Improvement Committee
- Coordinate the school's efforts in gathering multiple measures of school climate (and other related) data
- Assist in the investigation of reported acts of bullying in accordance with the District School Climate Plan and Board of Education Policy
- Ensure the implementation of behavioral intervention/response plans
- Research new programs and developments regarding school climate
- Maintain confidentiality of student records
- All other responsibilities as assigned by the Building Administrator

Terms of Employment: 3rd Party Contract; 4 hours per day for 190 days per school year
Contract Commitment/Compensation: $15.50 – 17.50 per hour (salary depends on experience).
Job Goal: The job of Post-Secondary Planner was established for the purpose of coordinating post-secondary planning services offered to all students at Orchard Center High School. This person purpose is to ensure that Orchard Center High School students develop an appropriate post-secondary plan. The Post-Secondary planner will work to expand the level of opportunities available to students as they develop their post-secondary plans.
Terms of Employment: 3rd Party Contract; 4 hours per day for 190 days per school year.
Contract Commitment/Compensation: $11.20-$14.00 per hour (salary depends on experience).
